Breaking Boundaries

-International BBQ Guide-

The objective of this project is to create a printed Map Guide and a prototype of App program for a selected topic. The topic that I have implemented were International BBQ Guide in San Diego, which I named as BREAKING BOUNDARIES. By sharing and experiencing different types of BBQ around the world, people can see the boundaries of BBQ culture are being "broken".

Research

By researching the specific Personas for the choice of BBQ, I found the main audiences for my field would be young people and foreign tourists. So the image searching that I was focused on was the New restaurants with a trendy atmosphere and fresh dishes. The visual sense was going to be natural and elegant in response to a younger audience.

The Icons revolved around the topic of BBQ, specifically focus on the essential tools of making barbecue and the basic materials such as meats, herbs...

I determined to mimic the classy and modern ambiance, but also to have a relaxed and lively vibe, so the style that I used in my icons had simple "outlines" with gradient golden gradients.
